Happy birthday Mama!
Jet lag can have its advantages: I got to experience how the city wakes up.
Toronto has become so – tall! High-rises wherever you go, glass-clad such that it becomes hard to determine where the building ends and the sky starts. I wandered first along the lakeshore, then up to Union Station and into the very heart of the city, north on Yonge. I almost missed the Eaton Centre because there is so much construction going on at Yonge & Queen and in the complex itself.
Today I walked some 16 thousand steps and used my TTC day pass really well, restored some energy at the Spaghetti Factory – Piña Colada included, of course!
