The North Taranaki Coast

Some strong wind blew all energy out of me today. Thus it was a slow day for a change, only two stops on my list: breakfast and The Three Sisters on the North Taranaki Coast near Tongaporutu. On my way there, Mount Taranaki presented itself briefly before the clouds moved in.

The first stop happened at The Federal Store Café and Deli in New Plymouth, a hip place at the busy Devon Street East. Scrumptious food and lovely coffee! There was an interesting mix of old and young.

The Three Sisters used to be Four Sisters and now there are only two anymore. They fell victim to erosion, like the trunk of Elephant Rock that once stood with the sisters.
